It’s done by sewing fabric to a printed paper foundation. This method is beloved by experienced piecers because it can be used to create extremely precise points and shapes.
Paper piecing can be used for many designs, from simpler blocks like a square-in-a-square or elaborate patterns like a Mariner’s compass.
